With the holiday season approaching rapidly, and our eyes on the long weekends ahead, the travel itch is back and we’re ready to take flight again. Next adventure? Reykjavik, Iceland!
Thanksgiving is a little under three months away, so naturally planning began weeks ago. You could say we like to be prepared. Don’t get us wrong, we love a little family time, but the icy, moody countryside of this nordic paradise are calling us, and we’re going. Sorry Mom and Dad.
In preparation for our trip we purchase a Sony Alpha a5100 mirrorless camera with a 16-50mm retractable lense. Honestly, it’s the nicest camera I’ve ever personally owned, so get ready for a ridiculous amount of (undeniably awesome) pictures.
In the next coming months we’ll be documenting our style picks for the trip, including but not limited to luggage, jackets, sweaters, at least one item with outrageous nordic print because its a requirement (duh), boots, blue lagoon swimsuits, and accessories.
Near the end of November, there’s only a few hours of sunlight during the day, so while we’re there we’ll be racing to catch the sights during the day, and touring the town in the evenings and providing some visiting and dining recommendations! Harpa, the Golden Circle, local fashions and shops, as well as traditional foods (both good and terrifying) are all on the menu.
